The Palouse Fire Department was proud to honor three retirees during Palouse Days festivities on September 13, 2003.  Ancel Jeffers was honored as the Grand Marshall of the Palouse Days parade for his 36 years of service to the department.  Ancel held the position of Fire Chief for 33 years.  Glen Smith retired with 26 years of service and Bud Bagott will retire after the first of the year with 34 years of service.  Each of the retirees received a plaque commemorating their service to the department.
