The following pictures are of a field fire that occurred on September 1, 2002.  The fire was caused by a power line that came down in high winds.  Quick action by farmers prevented the fire from spreading to the west and a railroad cut prevented spread to the east.  The fire department was able to quickly finish off the remaining hot spots upon arrival.
